Open Meetings Law

Governmental bodies in Colorado are bound by the Open Meetings Law (“OML”) which is part of the Colorado Sunshine Law. It generally requires that any meeting of a state or local governmental body held to discuss public business or take formal action be open to the public after sufficient notice. The attorneys of WBA are fully versed in the OML and work proactively in conjunction with our local government clients to ensure that they understand the parameters of this law and that all relevant activities are fully compliant.
